Not too long ago, after the clock ticked past midnight, the phone rang. My heart began to race. The last time I was awake and the phone rang around this time, we found out my grandfather died.
The phone continued ringing and so I picked it up. The automated voice said it was a collect call from some prison from the inmate (instead of his name, the inmate says)...
